rest in peace

death is rising
in my throat
a burning acid
gagging me senseless

a friend of mine went away in the night
the old fashioned christian way
he killed his liver

he was a blues man
and we spoke much about passing
they do everything important
soft and slow

see i’m not afraid to die
i’m afraid of suffering

death is the opposite of suffering

it is a state which knows no pain

i balk at those who say suicide is selfish

no

what is selfish is to expect someone to exist in agony for the sake of others

it’s inhumane

throw a party and carry them upon your shoulders to their ends

see that angel wearing a fedora?

yeah, that’s him
